Digitized Construction Site
Building Better: Digitally. At SPIE, we strive for a seamlessly integrated construction site. Modular, user-friendly IT applications enhance efficiency, increase transparency in collaboration, and ensure high safety and quality standards.
This initiative is a cross-divisional project, where we work closely with the digitalization teams, IT department, and operational end users to drive the selection of solutions. The first step involved identifying which process areas within the construction services business align with the vision of a digital construction site. These include digital solutions for order management, documentation, warranty management, inspection reporting, safety briefings, qualification management, plan processing, defect recording, and progress monitoring.
Our focus is on significantly easing the workload of personnel on site by replacing traditional paper-based documentation with intuitive software solutions. Through digital innovation, we make construction projects not only more efficient but also more user-friendly, actively contributing to the advancement of the construction industry.
Guided by the agile principle of the “Minimum Viable Product” (MVP), we are gradually implementing each functional area. A key principle in developing our solution—starting with the digitization of the construction diary—is the early involvement of future end users in the real construction site environment. This approach ensures high acceptance and usability of the final system landscape.
