Efficient Transition to LED Street Lighting with smapOne
With smapOne, we documented and managed the conversion of the street lighting in Pinneberg to LED technology. The software enabled flexible and user‑friendly recording and evaluation of all relevant data.
smapOne is a versatile software solution developed specifically for the digitalization and automation of business processes. It allows the design of individual workflows, efficient data management, and process optimization. Its areas of application include project management, documentation, and quality assurance.
In the case of the conversion project in Pinneberg, where the street lighting was upgraded to energy‑efficient LED luminaires from Schréder, precise documentation and quality assurance of the installation presented a particular challenge. Traditional methods for logging and managing data proved to be time‑consuming and prone to error.
The introduction of smapOne provided an efficient solution. The software made it possible to identify existing luminaires via a database and to scan the QR codes of the new LED luminaires mounted on the poles. In addition, the transition resistance between the cable junction box and the pole was measured—an important part of the DGUV‑V3 inspection. smapOne offered the flexibility to adapt input forms, for example to specify reasons why a conversion could not be carried out. The location of each luminaire was documented, as well as the inspection of the pole and pole cover.
The strength of smapOne lies in its adaptability and automation capabilities. Data on the existing luminaires was imported directly from an Excel list, and the app could be operated conveniently via smartphone. This resulted in a comprehensive database and PDF reports on the conversion, with over 3,000 data records captured in total.
smapOne was successfully in use from May 2022 to August 2023. Feedback from the teams was consistently positive, particularly regarding the increased efficiency and accuracy in documentation.
