With InsightConnector, assets can be scanned quickly and their data seamlessly integrated into EAM systems—compatible with HxGN EAM and other platforms for efficient maintenance and asset management.

InsightConnector is a One SPIE initiative jointly developed by the business units SPIE ESCAD, SPIE RODIAS, and SPIE SPECTADES. This innovative application for the HoloLens 2 enables fast and precise scanning of QR codes.

The HoloLens is a mixed‑reality headset developed by Microsoft that blends the virtual world with the real environment by displaying holographic images. Using sensors, cameras, and advanced software, digital objects can be projected and interacted with as virtual elements in the real world. This technology enables a wide range of augmented‑reality applications, such as in gaming, education, training, and industrial environments.

A key feature of InsightConnector is the seamless integration of captured data into Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems. By default, the application is linked to HxGN EAM from Hexagon, but it can also be flexibly connected to other EAM or maintenance platforms. This makes it easy to integrate InsightConnector into existing system landscapes and adapt it to specific business requirements.

As a result, asset managers and technicians can access critical asset information in real time—without having to enter data manually or spend time searching for it. Information about machines, systems, or other assets is available instantly, significantly enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of maintenance and asset management processes.
